Eine bewegte Körperinstallation anlässlich des 20jährigen Produktionsjubiläums von Stephan Herwig Wesentliches Moment für Stephan Herwig in dieser Produktion ist das Phänomen Zeit. Einerseits im Umgang mit Material aus zwanzig Jahren künstlerischer, choreographischer Arbeit, andererseits durch ein Erforschen zeitlicher Strukturen, die über übliche Rahmenbedingungen von Bühnenstücken hinausgehen. Ausgehend von erinnerten, bisherigen Aufgabenstellungen entwickelte Stephan Herwig in einer Laborphase mit langjährigen Wegbegleiter:innen eine bewegte Körperinstallation. Während jeweils vier Stunden entfalten elf Tänzer:innen Bewegungsskulpturen unterschiedlicher Intensitäten und Stimmungen, die sich behutsam in den Raum ausbreiten. Die Performer:innen agieren und reagieren in Echtzeit aufeinander. Eine Einladung an das Publikum, einzutauchen, Ort und Zeit mit den Tänzer:innen zu teilen, und das eigene Zeitempfinden bewußt wahrzunehmen. |
A kinetic body installation marking the 20th anniversary of Stephan Herwig’s artistic career A central theme for Stephan Herwig in this production is the phenomenon of time. On the one hand, this involves working with material drawn from twenty years of artistic and choreographic practice; on the other, it involves exploring temporal structures that extend beyond the conventional parameters of stage productions. Drawing on memories of past creative challenges, Stephan Herwig developed a moving body installation during a laboratory phase with long-time collaborators. Over the course of four hours, eleven dancers unfold movement sculptures of varying intensities and moods that gently spread throughout the space. The performers act and react to one another in real time. It is invitation to the audience to immerse themselves, to share space and time with the dancers, and to consciously perceive their own sense of time. |
